THOSE WE SERVE
The Open Doors Pantry was founded in 1990 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by Christian residents of Westfield, Indiana. Their desire was to serve local families in need of spiritual support, and access to free food and clothing. These goals were accomplished through volunteer support of local churches and individuals in the community.
Open Doors is a 100% volunteer organization supporting our Mission with its facilities open 52 weeks of the year. Open Doors has evolved through the years from a food and clothing pantry to now providing numerous programs to support our clients' personal and family needs.
WHO WE SERVE
Open Doors of Washington Township serves eligible individuals and families who live in Westfield Washington Township of Hamilton County, Indiana and have food and clothing needs due to age or low income. We also provide assistance to people outside this area who attend one of our member churches.
HOW WE HELP
We have a centralized food and clothing pantry. We also have a referral system for resources available in the community. We provide extra assistance through seasonal special programs, such as Back-To-School and Thanksgiving. We strive to promote understanding among individuals from different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. We do all this by ministering in the name of Jesus Christ to the people of the community.
For additional resources within our county, refer to the resource page on the Westfield Washington Township Trustee website.
